Description
Hosta ‘Sound of Music’
SHADOWLAND® GIANT Collection
Common Name: Hosta
Bring dramatic presence to the shade garden with ‘Sound of Music’, a truly giant hosta bred for bold texture and striking variegation. This impressive selection features massive, heavily corrugated leaves with chartreuse centers that jet out to glaucous blue-green margins. As the season progresses, the centers mature to creamy white, creating even stronger contrast. In early summer, large clusters of near-white flowers rise above the foliage, attracting birds and pollinators to the garden.
With legendary genetics that include the iconic ‘Empress Wu,’ this hosta is destined to reach substantial size and command attention. Its bold foliage pairs beautifully with other large-scale shade plants and makes an exceptional specimen in woodland gardens or expansive shaded borders.
