Hosta ‘Miss America’
SHADOWLAND® Collection

2025 Proven Winners National Hosta of the Year®

Hosta ‘Miss America’ is a truly majestic, large variegated hosta that commands attention in the shade garden. Broad, heart-shaped leaves feature medium green margins surrounding bright white centers, accented by soft light-green streaking that creates a beautifully blended, refined look. The contrast is striking without being harsh, giving this hosta an elegant, polished presence in the landscape.

Equally impressive are the flowers. In early to midsummer, thick, upright scapes rise well above the foliage, bearing near-white tubular blooms highlighted by delicate lavender markings at the center of each petal. These flowers are among the most showy ever seen on a hosta and add exceptional vertical interest. With its rapid growth, excellent substance, and refined form, ‘Miss America’ excels as a specimen plant, focal point, or dramatic mass planting in woodland, formal, or contemporary gardens.
