Welcome to "Gardening with Creekside!" Today, we're at Production Andrew, where we've been hard at work for the past two days, setting up various systems. We've tackled electrical work, plumbing, and even installed internet wiring, which connects all the way from the barn to this spot, providing Wi-Fi for our operations.

In today's video, I want to give you an overview of what's happening here, share a useful tip involving the power planter, and discuss some of my favorite upcoming plants. I must confess that I'm a big fan of colorful annuals, and I'll be focusing on them today.

We began our journey into annuals with petunias when we started selling produce at farmers' markets. Those vibrant petunia baskets caught our attention, but we've since shifted to Proven Winner Super Tunas. These Super Tunas, unlike regular petunias, are grown from cuttings, ensuring consistent color and vigor. One standout this year is the new Vivid Orchid, a unique addition to the Proven Winner lineup, featuring purple petals with a white outline.

Now, let's shift our focus to some of the work we've been doing. We encountered challenges due to heavy rain that filled our conduits with water and mud, so we had to make adjustments. We've laid new electrical lines for the potting machine and water lines for overhead sprinklers, and we'll have separate lines for fertilization.

To dig trenches without a trencher, we rely on the 5-inch power planter with its robust tip and changeable blades. This tool makes trenching a breeze, as it can create holes quickly. Combine it with a trenching shovel to remove the loosened dirt efficiently.

Moving on to the greenhouse, we've been preparing for spring 2024. Our greenhouse, previously housing shrubs, is now being transformed into a space for annuals and perennials. We're excited about planting Vista Jazzberry and Bubblegum petunias en masse, creating a stunning visual impact.

We also want to highlight underutilized annuals like Gumfina, a long-lasting, heat-tolerant plant with delicate pink blooms. Another underrated choice is Cleome Serrata Blanca, which thrives when planted directly in the ground.

In terms of irrigation, we've set up an efficient system with Dosatron injectors for fertilization. These systems help distribute water and nutrients effectively throughout the greenhouse.

As we gear up for spring, we encourage you to place your pre-orders early to secure the top plant varieties. We've been shipping out orders regularly, and our website will soon feature new bundles and maintenance products.

Thank you for joining us in preparing for spring 2024, and we look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you in the future. Happy gardening!
