Welcome to Gardening with Creekside! In this week's Nursery Tour, we have lots of exciting things to show you. Last week, we mentioned that we had three or four truck deliveries in one day, but due to rain, we couldn't showcase all the gorgeous shrubs and other items that arrived. Today, we'll make up for that by taking you through these exciting additions. We'll also explore some unique stone pieces and highlight some beautiful trees with spectacular Fall Foliage.

Creekside Nursery, located in Dallas, North Carolina, wants to remind you that we will be closed for the week of Thanksgiving. However, we'll reopen the following Wednesday and continue our normal operating hours, which are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM. Our last day for the season is December 16th. Even though the retail portion of the nursery will close, our videos will continue, so stay tuned for exciting updates.

Now, let's explore some of the wonderful plants we have in stock. One of our favorites is the Black Dragon Cryptomeria, a unique small evergreen tree that's perfect for various landscaping purposes. It has a fun, Dr. Seuss-like appearance, reaching a height of around 5 to 6 feet and a width of 6 feet. Cryptomerias are low-maintenance, bug-resistant, and thrive in full sun.

Next up, we have the Sunshine Ligustrum, known for its vibrant chartreuse-green foliage. These evergreens are perfect for full sun locations and can be pruned to maintain their shape. They are hardy in zones 6 to 10, making them adaptable to different climates. If you prefer classic colors, you can also consider the Radiance Ligustrum, which offers a more traditional green and white color scheme.

Moving on to the Kaleidoscope Abelia, this evergreen shrub thrives in southern gardens and boasts a stunning display of colors, including oranges, reds, yellows, and greens. Pruning once a year, usually in late February or early March, helps maintain its shape. Kaleidoscope Abelia is suitable for zones 6 and up.

Fire Chief Thuja is another remarkable evergreen shrub with unique fall coloring. In autumn, it takes on golden hues and rusty reds, adding visual interest to your garden. This shrub is hardy in zones 5 to 9 and requires full sun to showcase its brilliant colors.

If you're looking for shade-loving options, consider the assortment of Rhododendrons we have in stock. These evergreens feature large, waxy leaves and bloom with beautiful flowers in shades of creams, pinks, and raspberries. Plant them now to establish strong roots before summer.

It's also Camellia season, especially in the South. Camellias come in various varieties, with Sasanquas being fall bloomers and Japonicas blooming in late winter to early spring. Moon Shadow Camellia, for instance, offers white flowers with pink edges and is suitable for both sun and shade.

For shade gardens, Florida Sunshine Anise is an excellent choice. Its bright yellow chartreuse color thrives in the shade, and it's also deer-resistant due to its licorice-like scent. Edgeworthia, on the other hand, adds fragrance to your garden in winter. These deciduous shrubs have lovely trumpet-shaped clusters of flowers and thrive in filtered sun.

If you need fast-growing evergreen privacy screens, Chindo Viburnums are a great option. They are low-maintenance and suitable for sunny locations. Another popular choice is Shishi Gashira Camellia, a compact Sasanqua variety with pink flowers.

Moving on to unique stone pieces, we have a variety of small containers that are perfect for planting succulents, pansies, violas, or ivy. These containers are easy to move around and make lovely additions to your garden. Additionally, we have various unique stone statues and sculptures, such as Betty, the Versa Angel, and Harry the frog, which can add charm to any outdoor space.

Don't forget to check out our selection of Japanese maples, like the Crimson Queen and Paper Bark Maple, both offering stunning fall foliage. Japanese maples add elegance and beauty to your landscape.

As always, our selection of plants is vast, and we have something for every type of garden. Whether you're looking for shrubs, trees, unique stone pieces, or garden statues, we've got you covered. Join us Wednesday through Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM and explore these fantastic additions to your garden. And remember, our videos will continue to provide you with gardening inspiration even after our retail season ends on December 16th. Thank you for your continued support, and we'll see you in the next video!
