Versailles Mix Cosmos Seeds
Description
Description
Versailles Mix Cosmos offers a bright, cheerful blend of blush pink, white, and deep rose tones that stand out in both garden beds and fresh arrangements. Blooms measure about 2 1/2 inches across and rise on slender, upright stems that add height without heaviness.
Originally selected with cutting in mind, this variety produces strong stems suited for bouquets while still looking at home in borders and larger containers. Plants grow 40–48 inches tall and bloom early, continuing through summer when regularly deadheaded.
Cosmos thrive in full sun and are adaptable to a wide range of soil types, making them an easy addition to cutting gardens and seasonal plantings.
How to Sow
-
Start indoors 5–7 weeks before planting out, or direct sow after danger of frost has passed.
-
Cover seeds lightly when sowing.
-
Transplant after frost once seedlings are hardened off.
-
Space plants 9–12 inches apart. Wider spacing encourages stronger stems.
-
Pinch early to promote branching and additional blooms.
