Pulmonaria ‘Shrimps on the Barbie’ (Lungwort)
Pulmonaria hybrid ‘Shrimps on the Barbie’ makes a bold spring statement with masses of large, deep shrimp-pink blooms that blanket the plant in color. Its broad green leaves are splashed with bright white spots, adding interest even after flowering. This vigorous, spreading variety is both deer and rabbit resistant, as well as naturally mildew resistant — a reliable performer in the shade garden. For best results, keep the soil evenly moist and the roots cool; plants thrive in shaded or partly shaded areas and respond beautifully to consistent moisture. Mature clumps can be easily root-pruned and will re-establish quickly, ensuring years of dependable performance.
