Phlox 'Drummond's Pink'

Common Name: Creeping Phlox

Phlox 'Drummond's Pink' is a low-growing perennial that creates a beautiful carpet of rich rose-pink flowers in mid spring. A replacement for 'Emerald Pink', this variety offers a deeper rose color and larger flowers for an even more impressive display when in bloom.

Growing just 4–6 inches tall and spreading 18–20 inches wide, 'Drummond's Pink' forms a dense, ground-hugging mat of green foliage. Its spreading habit makes it especially useful along the front of borders, as an edging plant, across slopes, or tucked into rock gardens where it can create a blanket of spring color.

Native to North America, this easy-to-grow perennial thrives in full sun and is adaptable to average or fertile soils. It has low to average water needs and is salt tolerant. Its spring flowers are also attractive to butterflies and bees, adding valuable pollinator interest to the garden.

Why it's a Creekside Champion™

Phlox 'Drummond's Pink' earns its place as a Creekside Champion™ because of the incredible impact it creates from such a compact plant. We love its rich rose-pink flowers, larger blooms, and spreading habit that can transform borders, slopes, and rocky areas into a carpet of spring color. Its easy-care nature, evergreen foliage, salt tolerance, and appeal to pollinators make it a dependable perennial that provides beauty beyond its bloom season.
