Penstemon 'Parade of Parrots'

Common Name: Beardtongue

Penstemon 'Parade of Parrots' makes an unforgettable statement in the garden with its strong, upright habit and spectacular display of richly saturated claret-colored flowers. Bold from top to bottom, this exceptional perennial produces sturdy stems capable of supporting an impressive abundance of blooms that rise dramatically above the foliage.

Beginning in early summer, tall flower spikes become covered in deep, wine-red blooms and continue providing color well into fall. The pigmentation is so intense that even the developing seed heads retain a beautiful blush of color, extending the plant's ornamental interest beyond its flowers. Reaching approximately 36 inches in bloom, 'Parade of Parrots' adds valuable vertical height and structure without requiring a large footprint in the garden.

Thriving in full sun, its healthy foliage and strong stems create a dependable foundation for its extraordinary floral display. Whether planted as a dramatic focal point, repeated throughout a sunny perennial border, or combined with contrasting grasses and flowering perennials, 'Parade of Parrots' commands attention throughout its remarkably long season.

Why it's a Creekside Champion™

Penstemon 'Parade of Parrots' stands apart for its incredible flower power, saturated claret coloring, and strong upright habit.
