‘Bottle Rocket’
A Bold, Compact Beauty
Unlike older types, ‘Bottle Rocket’ stays neatly proportioned, with mustard yellow blooms perched on dark chocolate-colored stems that rise just above a lush, dense mound of foliage—no bare stems in sight! The blooms cluster like a bouquet at the center of the plant, and it produces more flower stems than its parent.
Standing about 6 inches shorter than ‘Little Rocket’ at full bloom, ‘Bottle Rocket’ has a sturdier build, with thicker stems, larger serrated leaves, and a fuller overall habit. In hot summer conditions where ‘Little Rocket’ might droop or open up, ‘Bottle Rocket’ stays upright and crisp, making it a reliable, heat-tolerant choice for shady spots.
Why You’ll Love It:
-
More blooms and stronger stems than older varieties
-
Gorgeous foliage with a compact, tidy habit
-
Thrives in heat and shade—no drooping!
Perfect for shady borders, woodland gardens, or wet areas where other perennials might struggle.
