Heucherella ‘Copper King’ (Foamy Bells)
Heucherella ‘Copper King’ is a stunning foliage perennial that brings rich, glowing color and texture to shady and partially shaded gardens. New leaves emerge a bright orange with copper-red centers and golden-yellow edges, forming a bold maple-like shape up to 5 inches across. The striking coloration deepens as the season progresses, and in spring, proportionate red stems rise to display delicate white blooms. Vigorous and vibrant, this variety is noted for its strong growth and exceptional foliage display — even outperforming many others in the series.
A hybrid between Heuchera and Tiarella, Heucherella combines the colorful foliage of Heuchera with the intricate leaf form and patterning of Tiarella. Best grown in part shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Copper King’ thrives in borders, woodland gardens, or containers. It is semi-evergreen in mild climates and rebounds quickly in spring after light shearing.
Why It’s a Creekside Champion™:
We love ‘Copper King’ for its radiant foliage, vigorous growth, and elegant white blooms that brighten shaded spaces from spring through fall.
