Hosta ‘Guacamole’ (Guacamole Hosta)
Hosta ‘Guacamole’ is a bold and beautiful favorite, featuring large, glossy apple-green leaves surrounded by wide, dark green margins that resemble the rich tones of a ripe avocado. The leaf centers brighten to golden hues as the season progresses, particularly with morning sun exposure, creating a vibrant, tropical look in the shade garden.
In late summer, tall 36-inch scapes rise above the foliage, showcasing large, flared, pale lavender flowers with a delightful fragrance that attracts hummingbirds. A sport of ‘Fragrant Bouquet’, this vigorous, fast-growing hosta offers excellent sun tolerance and reliable performance in a wide range of garden settings. Perfect for borders, woodland gardens, and containers, ‘Guacamole’ adds bold texture and luminous color that lasts all season.
Why It’s a Creekside Champion™:
We love Hosta ‘Guacamole’ for its lush, glowing foliage and exceptional vigor. Its fragrant blooms and sun tolerance make it one of the most versatile and eye-catching hostas in our shade garden lineup.
