Beach Bum Blue Evolvulus
Common Name: Evolvulus
Beach Bum Blue Evolvulus is a spreading annual that delivers waves of beautiful blue flowers from spring all the way through frost. Its low-growing, trailing habit creates a soft cascade of color, making it an excellent choice for spilling over the edges of containers and hanging baskets or adding a colorful groundcover effect to sunny garden spaces.
This heat-tolerant annual reaches approximately 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Once the flowers begin, they continue throughout the season without the need for deadheading. Beach Bum Blue performs best in full sun and should be watered when the top inch of soil becomes dry.
In addition to its long-lasting color and easy-care nature, Beach Bum Blue attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Its combination of continuous flowering, heat tolerance, and compact spreading habit makes it an especially versatile choice for sunny summer gardens and containers.
Why it's a Creekside Champion™
Beach Bum Blue Evolvulus earns its place as a Creekside Champion™ because it packs an impressive amount of flower power into a compact plant. We love the waves of blue blooms that continue from spring until frost without requiring deadheading. Its spreading habit is perfect for softening container edges and filling sunny spaces with color, while its heat tolerance helps it continue performing through the summer. Add its appeal to butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees, and Beach Bum Blue is a dependable choice for gardeners looking for beautiful color with easy maintenance.
