Buddleia ‘Pink Cascade II’ (Butterfly Bush, Summer Lilac)
Buddleia ‘Pink Cascade II’ is a showstopping, late-summer bloomer that fills the garden with long, cascading sprays of soft pink flowers. Building on the success of the original ‘Pink Cascade,’ this improved selection features even larger, puffier 12-inch panicles that appear later in the season—aligning with ‘Grand Cascade’ to beautifully extend the Buddleia bloom period. Early trials suggest it may be sterile, making it an eco-friendly option that still attracts butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds in abundance.
Like all members of the Cascade Series, this variety has a graceful, arching habit that adds movement and texture to the landscape. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerates drought once established, and rewards gardeners with months of fragrant, pollinator-filled color just when the summer garden needs a refresh.
Why It's A Creekside Champion™
We love ‘Pink Cascade II’ for its dramatic, waterfall-like blooms and its ability to refresh the garden just as summer begins to fade. Its long, fragrant panicles, graceful form, and pollinator-magnet performance make it a standout shrub that provides exceptional beauty with very little fuss.
