Senecio ‘Angel Wings’ (Sea Cabbage)
Senecio candicans ‘Senaw’ is an irresistible foliage plant loved for its large, silky, silver-white leaves that shimmer in the sun and feel as soft as a puppy’s ears. This striking, fast-growing plant forms a full, mounded clump that adds instant drama and brightness to containers, mixed planters, or sunny garden beds. Exceptionally heat- and drought-tolerant once established, ‘Angel Wings’ thrives in warm, dry conditions and prefers well-drained soil. This is a plant that doesn't like wet soils, although it will thrive with consistently moist soil. It is best suited to be planted in containers where good drainage is ensured. This plant may look rather finicky, but it is tougher than it looks. Once it is established you may be surprised by how vigorous it is. It can be fed the same as your other annuals and while it may seem like a shade plant, it is actually quite sun tolerant.
