Afternoon White Cosmos Seeds
Description
Description
Afternoon White produces clean, luminous white blooms that stand out in the garden and in fresh arrangements. Flowers measure 2–4 inches across and rise on upright stems that hold their shape well in bouquets.
Plants grow 36–48 inches tall, adding height and lightness to sunny beds while offering stems sturdy enough for cutting. This variety flowers early and focuses its energy on strong stems and well-formed blooms.
Cosmos thrive in full sun and adapt to a wide range of soils. With regular deadheading, plants continue producing flowers through summer.
How to Sow
-
Start indoors 5–7 weeks before planting out, or direct sow after danger of frost has passed.
-
Cover seeds lightly when sowing.
-
Transplant after frost once seedlings are hardened off.
-
Space plants 9–12 inches apart. Wider spacing encourages stronger stems.
-
Pinch early to promote branching and additional blooms.
