Built for serious durability, this large garden auger measures 8 inches in diameter and 28 inches in length and includes a 1.25-inch solid steel center shaft, 12 inches of rugged 10-gauge double flighting, and a glossy black finish for added protection against wear and corrosion.

This heavy-duty auger drill bit is designed for versatility and ease of use, with an adaptable drive that fits:

• Standard ½-inch drill chucks (no adapter required)
• Larger drill chucks using the included hex adapter
• Auger powerheads (gas-powered) with a 1-inch shaft
• Drills with threaded ends (with optional threaded adapter – sold separately)
• 7/16” quick-change drills (with optional quick-change adapter)

Replaceable Heavy-Duty Tip for Maximum Durability

The replaceable digging tip lets you tackle tough ground, roots, and rocky soil without damaging the main auger body. The tip also includes replaceable auger blades, making maintenance more affordable and extending the lifespan of your tool.

Power Recommendations

For best results, use a cordless drill with at least 40V of power. A drill bundle with extra batteries delivers superior performance for extended use. Cordless drills also feature a safety clutch that stops rotation when excessive torque is detected, helping prevent injury when hitting rocks or roots.

Important Note

This Power Planter auger is ready to use right out of the box. You do NOT need an adapter for standard drills with a ½-inch chuck. Only purchase the Heavy-Duty ½-inch Hex Auger Adapter separately if you need a replacement or backup.
